DVC dining discounts vary by restaurant and time. Here's what discounts are available, how to use them, and where the savings add up.
Membership Extras include 10-20% off at participating restaurants — primarily signature dining, character meals, and some lounges. Present your DVC card (physical or digital) when paying. Discount typically applies to food and non-alcoholic beverages; alcohol exclusions vary by restaurant. Maximum party size limits apply at some venues.
California Grill at the Contemporary — 20% off signature dining, easily $40-$60 in savings for a couple's dinner. Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge — 20% off, premium pricing makes the discount meaningful. Citricos at the Grand Floridian — 20% off, similar high-end menu. For families spending $200+ per meal, the discount can exceed $40 per visit.
Some character meals include DVC discounts (typically 10-15%). 1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian) and Topolino's Terrace breakfast (Riviera) are common discount-eligible options. Confirm at booking — discounts aren't universal across character dining.
Several lounges offer member discounts: Trader Sam's at Polynesian, AbracadaBar at BoardWalk, the Tambu Lounge. Discounts are typically 10% off food and non-alcoholic drinks. Not the biggest savings individually but useful for members who lounge-hop.
Quick service restaurants generally do not offer DVC discounts. Mobile order doesn't apply the discount even at signature restaurants. To use the discount, you must dine in and present the card at payment. Plan accordingly — discount-eligible dining is sit-down dining.
Annual Passholders also receive dining discounts. You cannot stack DVC and AP discounts — use whichever is larger. AP discounts and DVC discounts are similar at most restaurants (10-20% range). At some restaurants AP discounts are larger; at others DVC. Ask the server before paying which applies.
