A 2026 rundown of DVC Membership Extras — Annual Pass discounts, lounges, Moonlight Magic, and which perks actually deliver value.
Membership Extras require a minimum direct purchase from Disney — currently 150 direct points for new owners. Resale-only members do not receive Membership Extras. The benefit is not contractually guaranteed and can be modified or discontinued at Disney's discretion.
DVC members can purchase Annual Passes at member pricing — typically $100-$200 below regular AP rates. For families taking 2+ Disney trips per year, the AP math beats per-trip tickets. The Sorcerer Pass (the DVC-eligible AP tier) includes Park Hopper, water park access on some days, and basic Memory Maker.
Moonlight Magic events are after-hours DVC-member-only park nights with reduced waits, dance parties, and complimentary snacks. Events run at all four WDW parks on rotating select nights, plus occasional Disneyland and Aulani events. Reservations open ~60 days ahead and fill in minutes. Worth scheduling around if you can attend.
The 16th-floor Top of the World Lounge at Bay Lake Tower returned in 2024 after a multi-year closure. Open to direct DVC members and their guests. Complimentary appetizers, fireworks viewing, and full bar service. Easily the best in-resort lounge experience for members.
Member discounts on select dining (typically 10-20% off) and merchandise (10% off at participating locations). Discounts apply only when the member presents their DVC card. Savings add up across a trip — a family spending $1,500 on dining and merch saves $150-$300 with consistent discount use.
Member rates on golf at Disney's courses, spa services at Senses Spa, fishing excursions, and watercraft rentals. Discounts vary but typically run 10-20% off published rates.
Buy 150 direct points specifically for Membership Extras only if you'll use Annual Passes consistently (the AP savings alone justify the discount over 5-7 years) and you'll attend Moonlight Magic regularly. Most members find resale + paying for park tickets normally is the better math unless they're heavy annual visitors.
