Terms & Availability Disclaimer
Last updated: August 21, 2026
MyDVCPlanner is an independent research and planning tool for Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members. This page explains, in plain language, what our availability and point data can and cannot tell you. It supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Availability Is Never Guaranteed
Nothing shown on MyDVCPlanner is a reservation, a hold, or a promise of a room. We do not have access to Disney's reservation engine, we cannot book on your behalf, and we cannot reserve inventory for you. Every result you see is a historical snapshot of what appeared to be available at the moment our data was collected.
2. Disney Availability Changes Quickly
DVC inventory is highly competitive. Studios and value/standard-view rooms at popular resorts can appear and disappear within minutes, especially at the 11-month and 7-month booking windows, during holiday periods, and when other members cancel or modify existing reservations. A room that our search shows as available may already be gone by the time you open the member website — and a room we show as unavailable may have opened up since our last refresh.
3. How Our Data Works
- Availability data is refreshed approximately once every 24 hours; it is not real time.
- The "last updated" timestamp shown on search results tells you how old the snapshot is. Older snapshots are less reliable.
- If our data becomes unusually stale, the search page displays a maintenance notice rather than showing results we do not trust.
- Point costs are drawn from published DVC point charts and may contain transcription errors, may not reflect mid-year chart adjustments, and may not account for your specific home resort, use year, banking, borrowing, or holding-account restrictions.
4. Split Stays and Point Savings
Split-stay suggestions and "best value" labels are algorithmic estimates based on the snapshot data described above. They do not guarantee that the combination can actually be booked, that the rooms will still be available together, or that the projected point savings will hold when you book. Split stays may also require separate reservations, room changes, and re-check-in at each resort.
5. Always Verify With Disney
Before making any travel, financial, or contract decision, confirm availability, room types, views, and point costs directly through the official Disney Vacation Club member website or by contacting DVC Member Services. Where our information conflicts with Disney's, the official Disney systems are authoritative and ours is not.
6. Not Financial or Legal Advice
Articles, guides, comparisons, and tools on this site are for general educational purposes only. They are not financial, legal, tax, or real-estate advice, and they should not be used as the sole basis for buying, selling, or renting a DVC contract or points.
7. No Affiliation With Disney
MyDVCPlanner is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by The Walt Disney Company, Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or Disney Vacation Club. All Disney-related names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification and informational purposes only.
8. Limitation of Liability
The service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyDVCPlanner is not liable for any loss, cost, missed reservation, additional point expense, or other damage arising from your reliance on availability, point costs, or recommendations shown on this site. Your use of the site is at your own risk. See our Terms of Service for the complete limitation of liability, warranty disclaimer, and indemnification terms.
9. Questions
