Disney's newest DVC offering — modern cabins set in the beloved Fort Wilderness campground with rustic charm.
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort opened in summer 2024 as Walt Disney World's 16th DVC property. The new cabins replaced the older Wilderness Cabins that had stood at Fort Wilderness for decades, with all-new construction set on the same wooded loops. Each cabin is a freestanding two-bedroom accommodation built to feel like an upscale National Park lodge, with Pacific Northwest-inspired architecture, vaulted ceilings, and warm wood finishes.
Fort Wilderness itself has been a guest favorite since 1971 for its rare combination of a Disney resort experience with a true outdoor camping atmosphere. The resort sprawls across 750 acres of wooded loops, complete with horseback riding, archery, mini golf, lakefront pools, daily campfire programs with Chip 'n Dale, and the legendary Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue dinner show. Free internal trams and bus loops connect the cabin loops to the central recreation areas, dining, and the Magic Kingdom boat dock.
The cabins themselves sleep up to six, with a queen bedroom, a queen bunk room (one queen + one twin pull-down), one full bathroom, a full kitchen, a covered front porch with a grill, and a fireplace. They make excellent multi-generational accommodations and are particularly popular with families who want privacy, their own outdoor space, and the ability to grill dinner on their porch after a long park day.
Boat to Magic Kingdom (~10 minutes). Internal bus loop and walking trails connecting cabin loops to the main amenities. Bus service to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, and water parks. Walking trails to Wilderness Lodge for additional dining options.

Trail's End Restaurant offers a beloved family-style buffet and is a campfire-and-pioneer-themed sit-down option. Crockett's Tavern (next door) serves cocktails and casual dinner. P&J's Southern Takeout serves quick-service barbecue. The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Pioneer Hall is a must-do dinner show — book at exactly 60 days out.
