Polynesian Studios, Beach Club Studios, Boulder Ridge Cabins, Bay Lake Tower Theme Park View, Animal Kingdom Value Studios, Riviera Tower Studios, and Grand Floridian Resort Studios are notoriously hard to book at 7 months. Most are booked by home-resort members at the 11-month window and rarely surface at 7 months. If you want these, buy that home resort or use the waitlist.
Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, Animal Kingdom Villas (most categories), and BoardWalk (most categories) typically have wide availability at 7 months for most dates. These are the workhorse resorts for non-home-resort members. Booking studios at these resorts at 7 months is reliable except during holiday weeks.
Calendar the exact 7-month opening date. Be online by 7:55 AM ET with your reservation cart ready and target details pre-selected. Have a backup resort and backup dates ready. If you miss the 8 AM window for a hot room, refresh every 15 minutes — cancellations happen constantly in the first hour.
If your target room is unavailable at 7 months, add a Disney waitlist for the exact dates and room type. Waitlists fill 30–50% of the time depending on demand.
