About this resort

The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian sit on the monorail loop between the Magic Kingdom and the Polynesian, in what has long been considered Walt Disney World's flagship deluxe resort. The original DVC building (now called The Villas) opened in 2013, and a 2022 refurbishment converted dozens of former hotel rooms in the Big Pine Key building into Resort Studios — significantly expanding DVC inventory at one of Disney's most prestigious addresses.

The Grand Floridian's aesthetic is turn-of-the-20th-century Victorian: whitewashed clapboard, red gabled roofs, hand-pulled monorails, a five-story chandelier in the lobby, and live orchestral music in the afternoons and evenings. The grounds include a marina, a white-sand beach on Seven Seas Lagoon, two pools (including the new Beach Pool with its waterslide), and an award-winning spa.

DVC owners benefit from one of the best-located resorts on property: monorail to the Magic Kingdom (one stop) and to EPCOT (via a transfer at the TTC), boat service to the Magic Kingdom, and a flat walking path to the Magic Kingdom's main entrance that opened in 2022 — about 10–15 minutes through the Polynesian and Contemporary properties. The Grand also tends to feel more adult and serene than other monorail resorts; even when the lobby is crowded, the gardens and the secondary buildings remain quiet.

Dining

Victoria & Albert's, located in the Grand Floridian, is the only AAA Five-Diamond restaurant in central Florida — a multi-course tasting-menu experience and one of the most special dining experiences anywhere. Citricos, Narcoossee's (waterfront dining with fireworks views), and the Grand Floridian Café are all excellent options, while 1900 Park Fare and the Garden View Tea Room offer beloved character meals and afternoon tea.
