Copper Creek Villas & Cabins opened in 2017 as a major expansion of Disney's Wilderness Lodge complex, adding modern DVC inventory alongside the existing Boulder Ridge Villas. The villas occupy a refurbished wing of the original Wilderness Lodge plus a new building, while the Cabins are 26 freestanding waterfront accommodations on Bay Lake — each with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fireplace, and a private hot tub on the back deck.
Where Boulder Ridge feels rustic and weathered (intentionally so), Copper Creek interiors are notably more polished: copper accents, leather chairs, mid-century modern furniture, and granite countertops. The resort shares all amenities with the wider Wilderness Lodge complex, including the Copper Creek Springs Pool with its 67-foot waterslide and the Boulder Ridge Cove Pool, plus the boat dock to Magic Kingdom.
The Cabins at Copper Creek are among the most desirable DVC accommodations on property. Each cabin sleeps up to eight, has its own waterfront deck and hot tub, and offers an experience genuinely unlike anything else in DVC — closer to a luxury Lake Tahoe rental than a Disney resort room. They also command among the highest points-per-night costs in the system.
