Epcot's Food & Wine Festival runs August through November. Here's how DVC members plan around the most popular Epcot festival.
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival typically runs late August through late November — about 90 days. Festival booths line World Showcase featuring food and beverages from countries around the world. Eat to the Beat concert series, special seminars, and demo experiences fill out the programming.
Beach Club Villas and BoardWalk Villas — walking distance to Epcot's International Gateway. After festival evenings, the walk home beats waiting for buses. Riviera offers Skyliner access in 5 minutes. Polynesian and Grand Floridian connect via monorail. Animal Kingdom Villas and Saratoga Springs require bus rides that can run 30+ minutes — manageable but inferior for Food & Wine intensity.
Beach Club Studios are the toughest Food & Wine booking — home-resort 11-month priority is essentially required. BoardWalk Standard View Studios book quickly. Saratoga and Old Key West have wide availability at 7 months. The festival's first weekend, last weekend, and any weekend with marquee concerts are most competitive.
August-October falls in Choice and Dream Season at most resorts — moderate point costs. Late November may push into Magic Season for Thanksgiving-adjacent dates. A 4-night Sunday-Thursday Food & Wine trip costs 50–90 points at most resorts. The Beach Club Standard Studio specifically commands a premium for proximity.
Plan one "festival day" per trip — wander World Showcase from open to close, eating and drinking across countries. Disney's Festival Passport tracks your booths. Two festival days per trip is the practical max — palate fatigue is real. Other days, do other parks or pool days.
Festival booths don't eliminate the need for table-service reservations. The most popular Epcot restaurants book up despite the festival booths. Le Cellier, Monsieur Paul, Takumi-Tei, and Space 220 still require 60-day-out booking discipline. Resort dining at Beach Club (Cape May Café, Ale & Compass) and BoardWalk (Trattoria al Forno, Cake Bake Shop) is excellent for non-festival nights.
Many DVC members specifically buy Beach Club or BoardWalk home-resort points for Food & Wine. A 100-point contract at either resort covers an annual 4-night festival trip in studios. Combined with banking, points pool for a longer festival trip every other year. This pattern is the single most common Beach Club ownership story.
